EditionOne is a collection of fine art prints from the body of work by artist Yonatan Levy. For the first time, the works are available outside the gallery.
Between 2007 and 2011, Yonatan Levy created a rich body of work comprising hundreds of paintings and drawings. The works were sold to private collectors, exhibited in galleries in Israel and abroad, sold at auction, and covered by the press. Since then, the works have remained in private collections, where they remain today. EditionOne was created to make these works accessible again — not as originals, but as quality prints. For the first time, they are available beyond the gallery door.
About the Artist
Yonatan Levy is a contemporary Israeli painter. A graduate of the Midrasha Faculty of the Arts at Beit Berl, he has shown his work in solo and group exhibitions in Israel, Hong Kong, and Brussels. His paintings are held in private collections in Israel and abroad, and his works have been documented at international auctions since 2010.
"I think of the painting as an object, or a record of a particular state. I'm interested in its material presence, its sculptural dimensions. The painting is a surface on which a sequence of events is recorded. The work carries no metaphor or political meaning — instead, it sets up a kind of stage where the viewer is responsible for navigating themselves.
